Art Deco Cut Glass and Silver Plated Cocktail Shaker Circa 1930 For Sale

An elegant and substantial Art Deco cocktail shaker, circa 1930, featuring a beautifully cut clear glass body with polished silver-plated fittings. The tall, gently tapered glass body is decorated with two contrasting geometric patterns. The upper section features elongated vertical cuts, while the lower portion displays an intricate arrangement of deeply cut intersecting geometric facets, creating a brilliant play of light and reflections. The silver-plated mounts complement the glass beautifully, with a broad polished collar, a removable strainer section, and a cylindrical top cap. Subtle concentric bands accent the silver-plated fittings, adding to the clean, architectural character of the design. The striking combination of richly faceted glass and restrained geometric silver-plated elements is characteristic of the sophisticated cocktail culture and decorative aesthetic of the Art Deco period.A particularly attractive example of early 20th-century barware, notable for its generous proportions, finely executed glass cutting, and elegant silhouette. Equally appealing as a functional cocktail shaker or a decorative addition to a home bar or collection of Art Deco objects. The silver-plated components are numbered "15" in two places.
