Authentic Art Deco Bohemian Glass Bonbonnière by Gebrüder Podbira Haida c. 1930s For Sale

An exceptional piece of interwar European design, this authentic Art Deco glass bonbonnière (candy dish/lidded box) was produced by the renowned Bohemian glass refinery Gebrüder Podbira in Haida (now Nový Bor, Czech Republic) circa 1920–1930.Exhibiting strong design influences from the Austrian Wiener Werkstätte movement, this collectible piece features a beautifully shaped, semi-opaque frosted white glass bowl resting elegantly on three stylized, curved yellow glass feet. The clear glass lid is meticulously decorated with an etched geometric grid pattern accented with silver-white enamel line work, completed by a solid, clear glass finial knob. This is a quintessential example of modernist Czechoslovakian glass craftsmanship from the peak of the Art Deco era.Condition Report
