You are buying a BATAVIA COLT “ C “ Clamp from N.Y. I don’t believe this was yellow when it was made . You can see yellow paint on the threads . But it is original old paint . When it’s closed all the way tight it’s not lining up flat. But of course you would have a item in between when using . The opening as shown is 6” . The total length when it’s all closed is 12” from back of handle to top of the C of clamp. Please email me with any other questions before you offer .
