This is early McFarlane Batman — years before Spawn — and you can already see the style that would make him one of the biggest comic artists of his generation: huge flowing capes, exaggerated action, heavy shadows and a Batman who looks genuinely dangerous.
The three covers are fantastic together: #576 with Batman and the Reaper imagery, the haunting Wayne family graveyard cover on #577, and the explosive Batman action cover on #578.
