Recreate the excitement of the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica television series with this highly detailed replica of the legendary Colonial battlestar. The ship is brand new but may show some slight storage wear and but is new and displayed only. Please see pics to see where it appears the stryrofoam may have rubbed against some of the paint.
The Galactica was an advanced warship that led the surviving Colonial fleet. Operated by a crew of 500 and capable of carrying 75 Viper fighters, the ship became one of science fiction’s most iconic vessels.
The original design was created by renowned concept artist Ralph McQuarrie following his work on Star Wars. Inspired by an aircraft carrier, McQuarrie gave the Galactica its distinctive twin landing pods mounted on outriggers, providing runways for its Viper fighters.
