Impressive Big Sky Carvers Masters Edition bald eagle sculpture by wildlife artist Ken White, dated 2002.
This dramatic sculpture depicts a bald eagle in flight with its wings fully extended in a diving or swooping pose. The body and wings are beautifully carved from wood with detailed individual feathering and a warm finish that highlights the natural wood grain. The contrasting metal-tone head features finely rendered feather and facial details.
The eagle is mounted on a tall, dark-finished sculptural base designed to resemble a rugged rock outcropping, creating an impressive sense of movement and height.
The piece is hand-signed K.W. White and dated 2002 near the base.
The underside retains the original gold-tone Big Sky Carvers medallion identifying the piece as part of the Masters Edition Woodcarving collection and manufactured in Manhattan, Montana, USA.
