Boxed WWII Birks Enamel /Sterling Canadian Royal Air Force Sweetheat Pin c. 1944 For Sale

This fine enamel inlaid sterling WWII Royal Canada Air Force Sweetheart pin was made the prestigious Canadian gold and silversmiths Birks. It is in its original gold tooled silk lined leather box with Birks logo inside the lid. The pin features the traditional symbol of an eagle superimposed on a circlet which is surmounted with the royal crown above a banner containing with the words ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE. The pin is 1 7/8\" wide. The box is 2 1/8\" x 1 7/8\" x 7/8\" tall. Both the box and the pin are in excellent condition.
