CDV of 2 Pvts. in 23d Ohio Inf - Regt of Presidents, Both w/ Christian Crosses For Sale

CDVs of two soldiers in company E, 23rd Ohio Infantry a/k/a the Regiment of Presidents. Private John Whetstone and Private Nicholas Jenks were enlisted as privates in their company as well as Private William McKinley, who became the 25th President of the US. Their regimental major was Rutherfors B. Hayes, the 19th President. Another prominent member of the Army of the Cumberland commander Wliam S. Rosecrans among others.

Besides both members being in Company E, they are both wearing Christian crosses pinned to their uniforms.  Norice both crosses ate worn at an angle and just to the right of the 2nd button on their vests. These cdvs are exceedingly rare!
