This item has a wood base where the back of the clock the varnish has chipped off. Any refurbishing we will leave to buyer. The felt is peeling on the bottom and half is missing. This also can be refurbished with new felt.
Item runs as it should. It is electric. All has been tested and works great. This would look amazing in a cabin, on a mantelpiece, den, library, man cave.
