Sometimes referred to as "The Chess Pieces" series. Model #834, the "Flatehead" - this simple but sleek mid century modern design gets its name from its similarity to a flathead screwdriver. A tapered cylinder is carved away to create a flat blade at the top of the mill. Salt is loaded via two side plugs and has three holes on the top edge to release shaking salt. Pepper is loaded via a hole at the base of the mill and the grinder rotation is between the two donut shapes in the middle of the mill.
Classic teak wood, the overall shape, the plastic mill grinder and the "Thailand" label on the bottom date the mill to a production date in the 1970s-1980s
In clean, used condition. Wood in solid condition. No cracks, minimal to no wear.
