Damascus steel is notorious for holding its edge longer than most steel for years of reliable use. Damascus steel is a carbon steel and will rust if not properly cared for.
Care: Hand wash and dry and apply a thin coat of 3 in 1 oil (or equivalent) after each use for a long lasting blade.
