Deishi Shibuya (渋谷泥詩) Hagi Ware Kashiki (Sweet Dish) with Original Signed Tomobako
An authentic hand-crafted Hagi ware square kashiki (confectionery serving dish) by noted Japanese ceramic artist Deishi Shibuya (1927–2017).
This piece retains its original signed kiribako (paulownia wood storage box) with matching artist’s seal. The impressed seal on the underside of the dish corresponds to the seal on the box, confirming that the box is original to the piece.
The dish features the soft white Hagi glaze, subtle pinholing, iron speckling, and natural wabi-sabi aesthetic for which Deishi Shibuya’s work is known. The bold iron decoration and four-footed form make it suitable for tea ceremony sweets, presentation of seasonal foods, or display.
