This is a rare piece of historic Italian luxury hotel travel memorabilia featuring a hand-painted ceramic chamberstick candle holder from the legendary Hotel Hassler Villa Medici in Rome, Italy. Handcrafted in the famous pottery hub of Deruta, this classic majolica piece features a rustic white glaze decorated with a hand-painted deep cobalt blue leaf and scallop design alongside a sturdy looped finger handle. The pedestal base is beautifully hand-lettered with "HASSLER - VILLA - MEDICI". The underside of the foot is signed with the handwritten authenticity mark: "DERUTA ITALY".
