Elegant Vintage Victorian-Style Electrified “Gone With the Wind” Parlor Lamp Base – Hand-Painted Floral Glass
The ornate lamp base features a large, roundedglass body decorated with richly colored floral artwork in burgundy, rose pink,cream, and green. The glass is secured between decorative cast-metal fittingswith elaborate pierced scrollwork, floral motifs, and scalloped edges. Its warmbrass- and bronze-tone finish has developed an attractive aged patina thatenhances the Victorian-style appearance.
The broad, tiered metal foot gives the lamp asubstantial profile and stable foundation. Decorative metalwork continuesaround the upper and lower sections, creating an elegant transition between theglass body and hardware. The electrical cord, fittings, and mounting componentsare visible beneath the base; a casting mark number appears on the underside.
The base shows normal vintage wear, including surfacediscoloration, oxidation, dust on the metal components.
It measures about 26 inches and in working condition.
