For sale is a classic and highly collectible estate tobacco pipe: a Royal Danish 993R bent rusticated briar pipe, handcrafted in Denmark.
Produced as a high-grade secondary line by the legendary Stanwell factory, Royal Danish pipes utilize the exact same renowned Danish engineering, high-grade Mediterranean briar, and ergonomic shaping as their primary label. This piece features a striking heavy exterior rustication contrasted by a smooth, polished natural grain "thumbnail" panel on the side of the bowl, paired with a long shank and a comfortable tapered stem.
Condition Details:
Bowl: The stummel is in solid estate condition with great texture, clean lines, and a well-preserved rusticated finish. The chamber shows normal minor carbon buildup consistent with light-to-moderate use.
Stem: Shows minor standard oxidation/surface wear typical of vintage estate vulcanite stems, which can easily be buffed or cleaned to a deep black luster.
Nomenclature: Crisp and clear stamping on the shank reads "Royal Danish" in script over "MADE IN DENMARK" alongside the shape/line code "993R".
