For your consideration is a mid-20th century Chinese export pewter vase with a scalloped brass overlay. A large and substantial piece of good quality, the vase stands approximately 14” in height on a 4.5” square stepped base, measuring 5” at its widest point, and has a 4.5” flared opening with a polished brass edge. A few shallow dings are present as well as occasional random spots of tarnish, oxidation, and expected light surface scratching. While these are visible there is nothing casually noticed or distracting due to the color, finish, and sheen of the pewter. This truly is a gorgeous example that’s clean, structurally sound, and in overall good condition with no serious dents, prior repairs, or other compromising imperfections found. Well cared for and loved showing age commensurate wear over a half century of honest use, so please regard the photos as they form a descriptive part of the listing.
