Offered hereis a vintage Pulp Magazine "Fantastic Adventures, Vol 3, No 7, Sep 1941","The Liquid Man" by Bernard C. Gilford, "Oscar Saves The Union" by James Norman, F-VF, plus much more - Contents page is shown above(1939-1953 Ziff-Davis Publishing),Pictorial wrappers with a painted front cover illustration byRobert Fuqua [about 7" x 10"] 146 pages - newspaper pulp paper,Published byZiff-Davis. This one is in over-all excellent condition, covers are attached minor paper loss along the bottom of the spine at the front cover flap, the spine is elsewise complete, pages are off-white with oxidation around the edges. Top and Bottom cover edges are substantially flapped with bends - untrimmed. The contents page is photographed - I did NOT want to lay it flat on my scanner. Shipped in plastic, in a comic book shipping box. with delivery confirmation.
5.5 FINE- (FN-): Fits the criteria for Fine but with anadditional defect or small accumulation of defects that detracts from thebook's appearance by a perceptible amount.
5.0 VERY GOOD/FINE (VG/FN): An above-average but well usedcomic book. An accumulation of bindery/printing defects is allowed. Minor tomoderate cover wear apparent, with minor to moderate creases and/or dimples.Inks have moderate to low reflectivity. Blunted corners are increasinglycommon, as is minor to moderate staining, discoloration, and/or foxing. Stampedor inked arrival dates may be present. A minor to moderate spine roll isallowed. A spine split of up to 1/2" may be present. Staples may show minordiscoloration. Minor staple tears and minor stress lines may also be present,as well as minor rust migration. Paper is tan to brown with no signs ofbrittleness. Centerfold may be loose. Minor interior tears may also be present.
4.5 VERY GOOD+ (VG): Fits the criteria for Very Good butwith an additional virtue or small accumulation of virtues that improves thebook's appearance by a perceptible amount.
4.0 VERY GOOD (VG):The average used comic book. Cover showsmoderate to significant wear, and may be loose but not completely detached.Cover reflectivity is low. Can have moderate creases or dimples. Corners may beblunted. Store stamps, name stamps, arrival dates, initials, etc. have noeffect on this grade. Some discoloration, fading, foxing, and even minorsoiling is allowed. As much as a 1/4" triangle can be missing out of thecorner or edge; a missing 1/8" square is also acceptable. Only minorunobtrusive tape and other amateur repair allowed on otherwise high gradecopies. Moderate spine roll may be present and/or a 1" spine split.Staples may be discolored. Minor to moderate staple tears and stress lines maybe present, as well as some rust migration. Paper is brown but not brittle.Minor to moderate interior tears may be present. Centerfold may be loose ordetached at one staple.
