Significance: This wood and frame house, with a combination of Federal and Greek Revival detail, served as the residence of Dr. John Hubbard from 1831 until his death in 1869. Dr. Hubbard, a prominent physician and Governor of Maine from 1850 to 1852, built the doctor's office and two barns.
