Hand-carved Central American folk-art carving in totem form with the original polychrome finish. Three stacked campesino figures in brimmed hats support a monkey finial. Size: 7″ tall; base 3″ × 3″. Condition: heavy surface wear, scattered paint losses, and edge chips to the tier rims; stable and stands flat. Softwood construction, unsigned. Date: 1960s–70s based on pigments, tool marks, and tourist-market style associated with Guatemala/Chiapas. Attribution to Central America is believed correct but this is just an educated guess. Characterful small carving with strong folk presence.
