Large hand-carved solid wood bear sculpture signed and dated “James Penney ’88” on the front of the base.
This substantial folk art carving depicts a walking bear with its head lowered. Deep chisel marks, visible wood grain, and a rich reddish-brown finish give it a bold rustic character. An impressive display piece for a cabin, lodge, office, wildlife collection, or rustic home decor.
