POSTER GALLERY ART PRINTS & COLLECTIBLES THE ARTWORK Harry S. Truman WWII Service Thank-You Letter to Robert S. Jenning 8"x10" Poster
A presidential message of gratitude, reproduced with blue seal details and elegant lettering.
This print reproduces a form letter from President Harry S. Truman to Robert Sydnor Jennings, thanking him for his military service during World War II and calling for continued leadership in peacetime. The original ink-on-paper document, dated circa 1946 and issued by the United States Army, is associated with Nathalie, Halifax County, Virginia. Preserved in the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture collection, it connects military service with African American history. The design features a blue Great Seal of the United States surrounded by stars, Jennings’s typed name, flowing black text, and Truman’s pre-printed blue signature. The cream-colored background and visible fold marks reproduce the appearance of the historical document. This new physical reproduction is produced in Kentucky by POSTER GALLERY on luster paper and sold unframed.About the original artwork
