Featuring a dreamy shimmering & lavender spirit cactus quartz cluster! This crystal is really beautiful! Spirit Quartz / Cactus Quartz is a quartz habit which is 100% unique to the Boekenhouthoek deposits of South Africa. Since its discovery specimens have always been a highly sort after community out of the South African soils! Younger deposits had exceptional dark intense color with more recent deposits being lighter in color and some section producing mixed amethyst and citrine like coloration, hence aptly named ametrine spirit quartz. Unfortunately, amethyst spirit quartz only represents 1% of the deposits mined. The bulk of Spirit Quartz is in fact "white" with some subtle variations in color. Present day excavations produce Amethyst material which ranges from very pale lilac to a darker tone of purple, else plate-like specimens with richer more classic old school color intensity but without the traditional habit.
