I am going to assume that if you are looking at huipils you know what they represent and what goes into weaving these amazing pieces of wearable art!!!
It is insane!! I wish I knew more about the woman who made this beauty. What I do know is it is part of my dear friend's collection who acquired many amazing textiles over her 50 years of owning Straw into Gold / Palace Yarns here in California. She believes she picked this up in the 80s but is not certain.
Measures 24” long and 24” wide.
There are 2 pleats on the front and back and each side is slightly different.
The one stain I found is on the bottom front, and I took a photo (the last photo). I am not attempting to clean it and am leaving that up to the buyer.
