Beautiful antique J.R. Watkins embossed clear glass bottle, dating to the early 20th century, likely circa 1910s–1930s. This rectangular apothecary-style bottle features WATKINS embossed vertically into the glass with a narrow neck and molded glass construction.
The bottom is embossed “CONTAINER MADE IN U.S.A.” and features the molded number 6, believed to be a mold/cavity identification number from the manufacturing process.
Measures approximately 8.5” tall. The bottle is missing its original cap/closure and paper label, so the exact Watkins product it originally contained is unknown. Watkins produced medicines, liniments, extracts, toiletries, and other household preparations during this period.
Wonderful piece of antique advertising and pharmacy history with lots of display appeal. Perfect for an apothecary collection, antique bottle collection, farmhouse decor, primitive decor, vintage kitchen display, or shelf styling.
Pre-owned antique condition with age-related glass imperfections, light discoloration/residue, and signs of use consistent with its age. Bottle has only been gently rinsed and wiped down. Please review all photos closely for condition and details.
