Clear GlassThis beautiful vase exhibits the beloved "candlewick" style of glass ball decoration across the top and down the sides of the stem. It also shows the iconic etched "cornflower" pattern on the front and back as well as graceful leaf forms down the stem. The piece may date as far back as 1936 when the candlewick pattern was introduced, but could have been manufactured any time until the mid 1980's when the popular style ceased production.About 8 1/2 inches tall and 7 1/2 inches wide, this is a substantial piece weighing 742 grams or over 26 ounces. In very good to excellent vintage condition, there are no chips or cracks. With a good wide circular base, this vase could easily hold a graceful spray of flowers.
