• Design:Maneki Neko Sometsuke(染付) Blue & White with right hand raised & with left hand "SETO Maneki Neko", which features a slender hunchback just like a real cat, was born in late 1800s by applying the European plaster mold technique used to manufacture ornamental figurines(SETO novelties) for overseas markets.
• A raised right hand signifies money, while a left hand entices customers to a business.
• The painting was done using the traditional technique, SETO Sometsuke(瀬戸染付). Sometsuke means Blue & White. The Maneki Neko has a pale and gentle expression that is unique to Sometsuke and matches any simple modern room.
