Beautiful hand-carved and hand-painted American Woodcock by noted bird/decoy carver Jim Slack, with Jim & Pat Slack signature on the underside of the wooden pedestal.
This piece has wonderful detail, including individually rendered feather patterns, warm natural coloring, dark wing and tail accents, bead/glass-style eyes, and the woodcock’s distinctive long bill.
The bird is mounted on a simple natural wood pedestal that complements the carving without distracting from it.
