A fantastic collectors lot of six (6) genuine United Kingdom Royal Air Force (RAF) rank and trade badges, dating from the World War II era through to the late Cold War period.This is an excellent instant collection for a militaria enthusiast, historical re-enactor, or military insignia researcher.The lot includes:
2x Vintage Heavy Wool Sergeant Chevrons (Three-Bar):
Traditional, thick herringbone embroidered style on dark navy wool felt backing. Excellent vintage condition.
1x Tropical / Desert Sergeant Chevron (Three-Bar): Embroidered on a light khaki/tan cotton backing, historically issued for warm-weather deployments (Middle East / Far East theaters).
2x Vintage Heavy Wool Physical Training Instructor (PTI) Trade Badges: Feature the iconic embroidered white/light blue crossed gymnastic clubs \"X\" design on a thick dark wool square backing.
1x Modern Woven Corporal Chevron (Two-Bar): A smaller, square-cut, post-1980s machine-woven patch used on modern working dress.Condition:All badges are in great, clean vintage condition. They show excellent color with no significant moth damage, major fraying, or heavy staining on the front. Please note one badge has some staining on the back (refer to photo). Some appear to be unissued new-old-stock, while others have been cleanly removed from uniforms. Please study the photos carefully to evaluate the condition and backings.
