These items were left to me from a family member. I’ve looked all of them up via ChatGPT and I know this is a fair price but open to offers. These are being sold AS IS WITH NO RETURNS! There’s 50 shown pieces, but a few of them are 2 two pieces (like the large egg on the stand). I will be sure to ship all of the items with great care and make sure they are wrapped carefully doing my best to make sure they don’t break but there’s no guarantees! I will show a picture of the packing and shipping to the purchaser.
Selling an extensive collection of vintage Asian-inspired decorative pieces collected over many years. Everything is being sold together as one lot — I am not separating individual pieces at this time.
The collection includes Japanese and Chinese porcelain and ceramic figurines, geisha and traditional Asian figures, decorative vases, hand-painted porcelain, miniature folding screens, bookends, a Japanese display doll in its original case, a large Guanyin/Kuan Yin figure in a glass-and-wood display case, decorative plates and dishes, and numerous other Asian-themed collectibles.
Highlights include House of Koshu / Seyei China hand-decorated porcelain figure made in Japan. These were actually figural liquor/sake/plum-wine decanters, not simply decorative geisha figurines. Replacements identifies House of Koshu as a Seyei Toki Co. line and dates the pattern to circa 1960. An antique hand-painted Nippon/Morimura Brothers porcelain serving dish with the M-in-wreath Nippon mark, dating to the early 20th-century Nippon period; a Japanese traditional doll with detailed textile kimono, fan and display case; large decorative Asian vases with detailed figural and floral scenes; a large Chinese porcelain decorative egg with matching stand; an Art of Chokin Japanese metal-engraved decorative plate depicting Mount Fuji and a pagoda; a large seated Guanyin/Kuan Yin display figure with prayer beads and original presentation case; pairs and groups of vintage Asian figurines; miniature folding screens with painted panels; and Asian figural bookends.
There is a great mix of porcelain, ceramic, composition/resin, metalwork, textiles and hand-painted decorative pieces. Some pieces are vintage/antique while others are later decorative reproductions. I am not representing every item as antique.
Overall condition is good for a previously displayed collection, but because of the age and number of pieces, expect normal wear, paint/gold loss, small marks or other age-related imperfections on some items. Please review the photos/video carefully for condition.
This would be a great opportunity for an Asian art collector, antique dealer, reseller, decorator, booth/vendor or someone wanting an instant display collection.
