Beautiful oversized Mayólica Santa Rosa pottery pitcher, handmade and hand-painted in Santa Rosa de Lima, Guanajuato, Mexico.This is a substantial statement piece measuring approximately 14.5–15” tall and 10” wide, with a large curved handle and sculptural pouring spout.The pottery features an elaborate hand-painted design of birds, pomegranates, leaves and berries in rich blue, green, orange, brown and yellow tones. The soft blue background and glossy glaze make the colors especially striking.The underside is hand-marked “Mayólica Sta. Rosa GTO Mexico.” Mayólica Santa Rosa is a Guanajuato pottery workshop known for traditional majolica ceramics made from locally sourced clay and individually hand-painted, making each piece unique.
