For sale is this magnificent, exceptionally large original British antique clear glass chemist/industrial poison bottle. Manufactured by the renowned United Glass Bottle Manufacturers (UGB). This impressive statement piece dates back to the 1920s.
Key Features & Design: -
Safety Ribbing: Features the classic deep vertical fluting/ribbing around the body, and on one side is a clear label window, where a chemists contents label would have been placed.
Embossed Lettering: The word \"POISON\" is cleanly molded in bold, prominent raised block lettering around the front and rear shoulders.
Original Stopper: Complete with its authentic matching flat- topped T-shape rectangular \"lozenge\" ground glass stopper. The frosted ground joint matches the internal neck bore perfectly for a tight, historic fit.
Base Markings: The base is deeply embossed with \"U.G.B.\",(United Glass Bottle Manufacturers Ltd) the large capacity \"90\" and the Charlton Glass Works factory mold code \"V 913\" (valley Works, London).
The Neck and Rim Style: The upper mouth features a tooled, applied prescription rim or a flared collar lip finish.
