Description
Large and striking vintage ceramic Afghan Hound dog figurine, modelled in a seated pose with the breed’s distinctive long coat and elegant features.
The figure measures approximately 16 inches (40 cm) tall × 12 inches (30 cm) wide, making it a substantial display piece.
Finished in a glossy cream/white glaze with hand-painted brown, grey and black detailing. Particularly nice details include the expressive eyes, elongated muzzle, individually modelled coat and painted paws.
Condition: Good vintage condition overall, but there is a hairline crack around one of the front legs/paws, clearly shown in the photographs. There is a chip on the side of the head. There are also some minor marks and signs of age/use. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the condition description.
There appears to be a faint maker’s mark on the underside, which says \"Made in Italy\".
