Frederick Ashton was a British ballet dancer and choreographer. Born in 1904and died 1988. Lee Miller (1907–1977) first gained recognition as a fashion model beforebecoming Man Ray's assistant, collaborator, and accomplished photographer inher own right. In 1932 she returned from Paris to establish **Lee MillerStudios** at 8 East 48th Street in New York City. The studio operated onlybriefly, closing in 1934 after her marriage to Aziz Eloui Bey and subsequentmove to Egypt. Photographs from this short-lived New York studio period areespecially desirable because they represent a distinct and relatively scarcechapter in Miller's career.**Photograph Size:** 8 × 10 inches**Condition:** Fine.
