Made in Japan in 1953, this hand-painted porcelain figurine depicts a Catholic nun ready to pitch a gold baseball. It is a very nice pre-owned example of this piece with no chips or cracks, beautiful paint, and has the Lefton sticker intact as well as the Geo. Z. Lefton and the KW1428 inscribed on the bottom. The paint is around 99% with only the tiniest area if wear on her right sleeve edge and a small spot on the bottom of the gold ball. She also has her rosary hanging down the side and the cross is painted gold.
