Up for sale is an exceptional, authentic collector’s lot of two (2) vintage 1950s US Army Khaki Cotton Twill Short Sleeve Uniform Shirts. These original "Class B" tropical summer uniform pieces were uncovered directly from a veteran's military footlocker and have been carefully preserved for decades in a smoke-free home.This veteran had a distinguished 20-year career in the US military spanning from 1943 to 1963. He served with the heroic 25th Infantry Division ("Tropic Lightning") in the Pacific during WWII, fought with the 24th Infantry Division ("Taro Leaf") on the front lines of the Korean War, and later served as a US Army recruiter. These shirts date back to his post-Korea peacetime service and recruiting era in the mid-to-late 1950s, where an immaculate, razor-sharp uniform presentation was mandatory.Constructed from heavy-duty, high-grade 8.2oz military cotton twill, both shirts are incredibly clean, structurally crisp, and feature all original buttons, dual button-down chest pockets, and shoulder epaulets.Individual Shirt Identification & Characteristics:• Shirt #1: Features a highly legible, dark ink laundry mark inside the collar stamped "R-3654" alongside the official size designation "15 - 15 ½ / M". The lower inner hem also features additional crisp stenciled military inventory numbers.• Shirt #2: Features a crossed-out collar laundry stamp from active service rotation and an inner "T-1642" stamp history.
