Vintage M.I. Hummel “Feeding Time” – HUM 199 – Early Goebel Full Bee
Beautiful vintage M.I. Hummel figurine titled “Feeding Time,” HUM 199, depicting a young girl feeding her chickens and chicks.
This classic Hummel design was originally modeled in 1948 by master sculptor Arthur Moeller. This example bears multiple early markings on the underside, including the incised “199,” blue Goebel Bee trademark, Germany marking, copyright W. Goebel marking, and impressed copyright/date marking. Please see the detailed photographs of the underside for all marks.
The figurine retains lovely original hand-painted colors and wonderful detail throughout, including the girl’s blue head scarf, burgundy dress, patterned apron, feeding bowl, rooster, hen and three chicks.
