MACV SOG CISO Knife, Blade is Plum color. From my Tour April 67 to April 68 For Sale

The MACV SOG CISO Knife is a custom and handmade Bowie knife with a plum-colored carbon steel blade over 5 inches in length. This combat knife features a clip point blade, full tang construction, and a leather handle for durability and a secure grip. With a lanyard hole and sheath included, this original piece from 1967 is a collectible item that showcases the quality craftsmanship of MACV SOG knives. The blade is sterile, there are no markings to show the knives maker or a military unit to trace the knife to a Country. SOG did many different missions and some required that no ID or traceable equipment be used. There is a serial number (1018) on the rear of the blade.

Blade finish is a Plum color and the blades is 6 inches.I was issued this SOG knife when I arrived at MACVSOG base outside of Danang Vietnam in 1967. Our personnel consisted of, Navy Seals, Army Special Forces, Air Force, naval personnel to support the PT boats we were using and Vietnamese Montagnards. The knife has not been touched since I brought it back with me in April of 1968. It was packed away at that time. It has not had anything done to it such as polishing the brass, etc. since that time.
