Mint Rare Stag Handled Blackjack Warner-Moran Rio Grande Bowie In Factory Box:
$415.00

I bought this knife new in January of 1995 and I have never used it, comes in original factory box numbered to knife (068). Knife and black leather sheath are in new condition, factory box has slight wear to the lid. The beautiful dark stag scales are perfect and match each other perfectly. Spear-drop point blade is razor sharp with a convex grind.
The Blackjack Warner-Moran Rio Grande is a rare, heavy-duty camp and fighting knife originally produced in Seki, Japan in 1989-1990, this highly collectible knife was born from a collaboration between custom knife icon Bill Moran, legendary knife writer Ken Warner, and Blackjack founder Mike Stewart.History and DesignOrigins: The design was originally created by legendary knifemaker Bill Moran for Ken Warner for use in Vietnam during the late 1960s.Years later, the design was adapted for commercial production under the Blackjack umbrella.Production: Blackjack Knives had Harumi Suzuki build approximately 600 units across two production runs in Seki, Japan.Materials & Specs: It features a full-tang construction with a 1/4-inch satin-finished carbon steel blade (SK-5 spring steel), brass oblong guard, brass pins, and typically wood or micarta, stag (both rare) handle scales. Total length runs approximately 14.8 to 15 inches with a blade length around 9.75 to 9.875 inches.and depth of 1.75 inches, weight 17.6 to 19.9 oz.Because Blackjack shifted its production from Japan to Effingham, Illinois in late 1991, the original Seki-made Warner-Moran Rio Grande was only produced for a very short time making it very collectible today.
