Modern Magic by Professor Hoffmann - David McKay Edition Collectible Magic Book For Sale

As a lifelong professional magician, I have purchased way too many tricks and books!Now that I am old, and getting ready to move, I need to downsize!
This is not a rare first edition, but it is a desirable collectible copy of one of thefoundational books on stage magic. Collectors generally value nice McKay editionsmore than later reprints because of their craftsmanship and decorative bindings.
All 563 pages are present, and there are no library markings, writing, or loose pages.

This is the David McKay \"American Edition\" of Modern Magic by Professor Hoffmann.

The blue pictorial cloth binding with black and gold decoration is one of the more

attractive David McKay bindings, generally dating from the 1910s to 1930s (despite

the original work first appearing in 1876).

The title page lacks a publication date, which is typical of many McKay printings.

The book appears complete with the frontispiece present.

The gilt on the spine and cover is still fairly bright.

The corners show moderate wear, and there is some rubbing at the spine ends, but

the binding looks sound. The pages appear clean with only light age toning.
