This historical illustrated leaf contains three engraved illustrations connected with George Washington:
• Mount Vernon — the home of George Washington on the Potomac
• Washington’s Pew — a view of the pew associated with Washington
• Pohick Church, Where Washington Worshiped — the Virginia church historically associated with Washington
The illustrations accompany an article titled “The Presidents at Home.” The piece reflects nineteenth-century interest in the domestic lives and homes of American presidents, with particular attention given to Washington as the founding figure of the republic.
Frank Leslie’s Popular Monthly was one of the major illustrated American periodicals of the late nineteenth century, known for combining literary articles with finely detailed wood engravings depicting historical sites, travel scenes, and notable figures.
This leaf presents an appealing group of early American historical views associated with George Washington and Mount Vernon.

Antique magazine leaf removed from a bound volume. Age toning present with noticeable edge wear and loss along the right margin and lower edge. Please review photos carefully for condition.
