Excellent old figural metal table lighter in the shape of the NASA space shuttle made in Japan in the 1980's.
This lighter is cast in a heavy silver finished metal with excellent detail, from its nosecone to its rear cluster of rocket engines. Both sides of the fuselage near the rear read "NASA - United States" and the bottom is embossed "JAPAN". The lighter mechanism marked "JAPAN" is on the base and easily pulls out of its cradle for refueling - right now it's empty. It still produces a strong spark and just needs fuel to light.
It stands 4" tall by 7.5" long with a 5" wingspan, and weighs 1.75 lbs.
