Here\'s a tiny, beautiful, turn-of-the-century Columbia Q phonograph with a table crane, an early Q reproducer, an original all-brass 14\" hanging horn, and a Vulcan \"indestructible\" cylinder recording of theCoronation Bells March.
If you\'re searching for an authentic, working antique cylinder phonograph that doesn\'t require much table, desk or shelf space but can still play a cylinder loud enough to be heard just about anywhere in a room, you might want to keep an eye on this listing.
The phonograph is pristine, close to mint, with very little tarnish and virtually no signs of wear. The original all-brass hanging horn is likewise in excellent condition, with no dings, no dents, no damage -- just a gleaming, mirror-like surface and a perfectly formed bell.
The motor is in good shape; when fully wound, it can make it most of the way through a cylinder before a final few turns are required to push it through to the end. Original small diaphragm Columbia Q floating reproducer has a good stylus and and an undamaged diaphragm.
The 15\" high table crane came from JAS Antiques in Canton, Ohio. It\'s a masterful replica, identical (except in age) to the original Columbia table I have listed elsewhere on at this time (for $950).
As noted above, I\'ll include a contemporary Vulcan cylinder recording of the The National Band performingCoronation Bells March. If you get tired of listening to it, dozensof other cylinders are available on from 3rd party vendors at any given time.
I\'m one of \'s best known, most highly regarded sellers of antique phonographs. I\'ve been sellingand shippingthem for more than 25 years. When you purchase an antique phonograph from me, you\'ll receive a phonograph that arrives safely because it\'s been carefully packed (byme, not by some well-intentioned but nonetheless confounded, doe-eyed teenager working at the UPS store who wouldn\'t know a phonograph from a fire engine), and you\'ll receive a phonograph that includes thorough but easy-to-understand set-up and operating instructions, so you won\'t be left scratching your head, trying to figure out how it works. Sure, you can probably get a lower price from Joe and Janet Barn-Find, but when your \"bargain\" arrives broken, and without any hint of how it works or how you might be able to put it back together, you\'ll realize that you really do get exactly what you pay for.
