Nipper - Vintage Inside-Painted Glass Snuff Bottle - \"His Master\'s Voice\" RCA Nipper - this is a highly unique and collectible find - Hand-painted entirely from the inside using a microscopic brush, this piece beautifully merges traditional Chinese artisan craftsmanship with vintage corporate Americana, music history and of course Terriers. A beautiful representation of the 1898 painting by Francis Barraud, the iconic painting of Nipper looking into a Gramaphone. On the back, handprinted from the inside, the first line in English is “Master’s Voice”, the Chinese symbols beneath “Master’s Voice” first is a seasonal cycle inscription, dating the bottle’s creation to the Spring of 2001, then hand signed by the Artisan, Wu Rui, with an with an accompanying artist seal and a base art seal reading (the large red square on the bottom center - which reads “Inside Painting Art”. The Snuff bottle Includes the original domed amber-colored glass stopper, fitted cork collar, and the traditional integrated miniature powder spoon, and comes complete with its original silk-patterned padded presentation box, which it has been stored in. This is a true treasure for a Nipper or Jack Russell collector. These bottles are painted with a piece of bamboo, cut into slivers and slightly bent. The unusual “brushes” are used to apply the paint through the narrow opening of the jar, which makes it that much more amazing how beautiful the image of Nipper and his Gramaphone are. @ 2 1/2” x 3” x 1” wide
