A nice alternative to sewing and better than cotter pins for some applications. These are designed to work with buttons that have a wire shank and mount best through a small stitched hole. Makes buttons more easily removable for laundry. Ideal for crafting.
Also great for certain types of clothing (military jackets, workwear, various uniforms, etc). If your garment has little round holes where buttons should be, this is one way to attach them.
These hooks work with buttons that have a round metal loop on the back, like those shown in the photos. Buttons with plastic loops tend to be too thick for the bends to go through, so they might not work.
