ORIGINAL WORLD WAR TWO U.S. ARMY M-1942 JUNGLE PACK. This pack is made of olive drab color duck canvas & web . The pack is marked \"U.S.\" on the front flap & \"EXCEL 1942\" on the inner flap. The zipper on the top compartment is in working order & the drawstring is present. There are four straps that are missing from this pack on the reverse - two that were attached to shoulder straps & two that were attached to the body of the pack. All four of these straps hooked to the cartridge or pistol belt. These straps are sometimes found removed as the troops found them to be cumbersome. They would simply wear the pack \"backpack\" style by hooking the shoulder straps to the bottom D rings. The pack is otherwise complete and remains in very good condition showing some light age & soil. There are no rips, tears or holes - see multiple photos for the best idea of the condition.
