From the web: In 1891, Wyoming Seminary in Kingston, Pennsylvania, was experiencing a period of strong leadership and academic growth under President Levi Sprague, who ultimately led the school for 50 years. The institution was cementing its reputation for competitive athletics, which directly paved the way for a historic milestone the following year.

· Prepping for Night Football: While Wyoming Seminary played in the world's first-ever nighttime football game on September 28, 1892 (against Mansfield Normal School), it was in 1891 that the Mansfield Normal team first showed strong enthusiasm for this new sport, setting the stage for the historic matchup.

· Football Growth: During this era, Wyoming Seminary routinely competed in football against various colleges and local high schools.

· Campus Life: As a prominent Methodist-affiliated coeducational boarding and day school, the institution was expanding, drawing students from the surrounding Wyoming Valley and further afield

This is disbound from a hardcover bound book which protected it all these years. The antique book had string binding . . .
