This Maserati keyring would have been produced by Wilco Sales Corporation during the 1960s or perhaps 1970s.
Wilco was a USA based car accessories company that produced torpedo-shaped keyrings for many of the world’s marquees. The reverse side of Wilco badges were never stamped with a makers mark (unlike CUD keyrings) but were produced with either a smooth finish or a crosshatch pattern.
This particular Maserati keyring is in excellent condition. The back of the key fob is gold embossed with the selling dealership’s information.
Most Wilco keyrings I have seen come with a split ring, yet this keyring uses a bead chain which is stamped ‘Bead Chain Bpt. Conn.’ I have seen photos of a few other Wilco keyrings using a bead chain, which leads me to believe that this particular keyring was issued with the 1960s-era bead chain instead of a split ring from new.
