Original WWI Imperial German Entrenching Shovel – Unit Marked 3 A…P – Trench Spa For Sale

Heavy riveted steel construction with original wooden handle. The handle retains an original stamped military/property marking that appears to read “3 A … P”. Portions of the original stamp were later obscured by deeply hand-carved period markings, while the stamped 3 and serif-style P remain clearly visible. Additional faint maker/inspection markings are present on the steel.

Excellent original character with genuine age, patina and field wear. Handle remains solid and the shovel has not been cleaned, refinished or restored.
