Original WWI / WWII German Leather Entrenching Tool Carrier Shovel Cover Spatentasche
FOR SALE:
Offered here is a 100% original, combat-used German leather entrenching tool carrier (Spatentasche) in the classic \"open frame\" (skeleton) configuration.
This specific pattern was the standard issue for the Imperial German Army (Kaiserreich) during the Great War (1914–1918). However, due to the exceptional quality of early German leather and wartime shortages, many of these carriers remained in service and saw continued use through the World War II (1939–1945) period, particularly with second-line troops and Volkssturm units.

Stitching: Tight and original. Approximately 90%+ intact.

📸 Please review all high-resolution photos carefully, as they serve as the primary condition report. What you see is what you will receive.
HISTORICAL CONTEXT (Important for Collectors):
Please note: This is the WWI skeleton pattern, which differs significantly from the later fully-enclosed M34 Spatentasche (pressed cardboard/leather) used by the Wehrmacht. This particular model is ideal for WWI Imperial reenactment, trench dioramas, or as a display piece for early German militaria.
