Up for sale is a rare and striking pair of antique Cast Iron Devil Head Candle Holders.
Each piece features a double-sided / two-faced devil head (horns, furrowed brow, goatee) supported by a realistic bird / claw foot base. The top opening accommodates a standard taper candle, matches, or toothpicks.
Details & Finish
Piece #1 (Polychrome Paint): Features vibrant residual cold paint detailing in bold red, green collar accents, black facial hair, and white-painted talons. Showcases authentic flaking and surface wear consistent with age.
Piece #2 (Unpainted/Patina): Displays a heavily aged, natural dark iron patina with light surface oxidation/rust highlighting the fine cast metal texture.
Dimensions: Stands approximately 4.25\" tall with a 4\" wide claw foot base span.
Condition
Both holders are structurally intact with no cracks, breaks, or repairs to the heavy cast iron.
Clear casting seams along the sides consistent with early two-part mold production.
Please inspect all high-resolution photos for exact condition details, paint wear, and patina contrast.
